MANDALA 2020 is a photographic essay by argentine artists Julia Sbriller and Joaquin Wall inspired by the lunar cycle, anal collection of vitamin D, ashtanga, Jheronimus Bosch and the possibilities of the collective body as a gate into sacred geometry.

The series was recently exhibited in the frame of Migra (Buenos Aires Art Books Fair) intentionally posted as huge prints in the public space, challenging the norms of censorship that govern our digital era.

Soon to be printed and distributed as a performative calendar, MANDALA 2020 aims to reconcile our conception and experience of time with the astronomical cycle of the moon, introducing a year with 13 months. Each month a body is added to an erotic sculptural composition until the climax is reached the 7th month. From this point, a body is dragged out of the composition until we reach again the singular body.

The series was possible thanks to the assistance and edition of Eli Portela, the bodies of Juana CarranzaFlorencia RoigLuca San MillánFrancisco Parente,Tatiana GarroJulieta VieiraLuli ViscoitalianoDelfina Serra and Eduardo Eleno, and the graphic design of Julien Antoine. Street pictures by Nahuel Colazo for Feria Migra.
